Equipped with a Minor Set, Medical Supporters of the AIS Summit Pamwil Task Force are Able to Perform Surgical Procedures in the Field

BADUNG, STIGMA.CO.ID – Kindergarten Hospital II Udayana, as a Medical Support Element who is part of the Regional Security Task Force (Satgas Pamwil) at the Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum 2023 High Level Conference (Summit), is tasked with supporting the health of Pamwil Task Force personnel carrying out security in Ring 2 and Ring 3.

This was conveyed by the Head of Hospital II Udayana Colonel Ckm Dr. Sumanta Sembiring, Sp.B., in his statement when interviewed at the Pamwil Task Force Command Post, Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali, on Wednesday (October 10, 2023).

As Head of the Medical Support Element, Colonel Sembiring revealed that the personnel were divided into 4 teams, each led by a military doctor and supported by 1 ambulance with medical devices attached to each personnel.

“Medical Support Element personnel have the ability to carry out field health medical treatment. We also provide our doctors with minor sets for minor surgery, so that if there is an accident that results in injury or trauma, medical treatment can be carried out directly at the scene,” explained Karumkit.

It was further stated that according to procedure, if any Pamwil Task Force personnel are sick, the doctor on the team handling them will carry out an on-site examination first. However, if the diagnosis requires further treatment, evacuation will be carried out to Tk Hospital, II Udayana.

“We hope that all Pamwil Task Force personnel who are our responsibility can carry out their duties well and not experience health problems, so that Pamwil Task Force personnel can work optimally and the Summit can run successfully,” concluded Karumkit. (Pendam IX/Udy)
